The Contractor arrived 1-hour and 10 minutes late. He informed me that he does a-lot of work through ServiceSold, but that he does not run all of the work through the site, since he has to pay a fee. He then pulled the cord to drop the Garage Door and let it slam breaking the spring and bending several hinges. The contractor was paid, and given extra money for materials. Since I had a meeting at 10:30a. The contractor texted me later telling me that they would not be able to complete the work today, but that he could come back for another $225 to make the repairs. This vendor damaged more than he fixed.

Provider Response: I am very sorry for arriving late for the job as I had to wait for co-worker who was at the hospital with his infant son. The garage door in question was already in the up position when we arrived. As we attempted to lower the door to fix it the spring (that was already broken) released under pressure causing additional damage. I offered to fix the additional issues for just the cost of parts and my co-workers labor and nothing additional for myself. I wish the customer would have better described to everyone on the website all that was involved. He was not the owner of the building but an absentee property manager who may not have known of the additional issues with the door spring
